The identities of 47 people who are allegedly participating in the social media campaigns against state institutions and Pakistan’s Chief Justice, Qazi Faez Isa, have been made public by a Joint Investigation Team.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has issued over 60 notices and initiated over 100 probes in this regard.
Details about the FIA’s notices and the people who have been called for hearings came to light on Saturday.
According to the statistics, the FIA had looked through about 127 records nationwide. As it tracked down those disseminating false information about the top judge and state organizations, it also recorded 115 inquiries.
It fulfilled 65 notices out of these. It also filed a FIR in one instance.
But nobody has been taken into custody as of yet.
Following 47 prominent individuals have been served notices by the FIA investigating social media campaign against the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the state institutions. Date of hearing is set for 30th and 31st January.
