In 2023, the screen sharing capability was made available to users of WhatsApp, an instant messaging service owned by Meta.

During a video call, users can share their displays with other participants thanks to this functionality. Zoom and Google Meet are two more video-calling platforms that offer this feature. The desktop version of WhatsApp for Windows, iPhone, and Android allows users to share their screen.

The person who has shared their screen can see all that the other participants in the video conversation can see on their phone thanks to this capability. This functionality can be useful in a variety of contexts, from education to collaboration.

Here’s a detailed tutorial on utilizing WhatsApp to share your screen.

The WhatsApp apps for iOS and Android both have comparable instructions for sharing your screen. It’s important to remember, though, that when utilizing this feature on their mobile devices, users must share the complete screen. • Tap the screen-sharing icon at the bottom of the display. (On Android, the icon looks like a phone with an arrow on it while on iOS, this icon looks like a screen with a figure in front of it.)
  • Confirm that you want to share your screen
  • Your screen will now be visible to the other people in the call.
  • Return to the WhatsApp app and tap on Stop Sharing if you want to stop sharing you screen
