Actor Andhadhun faced criticism after belting out a well-known Pakistani song.
After performing the well-known Pakistani song “Dil Dil Pakistan,” Indian actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana received criticism from many fans back home. Many questioned why he had performed the country’s unofficial anthem at a time when relations between the two nuclear-armed neighbors are tense.
Aysuhmann and his brother Aparshakti Khurana can be seen singing a song by the former Pakistani band Vital Signs in the eighteen-second video that is making the rounds on X. The background changed to the Pakistani flag and green and white lights as they began to sing.
The video was given a prominent spot in the news feed of Indian media and television broadcasters.
Days after Ayushmann and other Bollywood celebrities were spotted at the Ram temple’s unveiling on the site of the demolished Babri mosque, the footage went viral.
On social media, some people asserted that the Vicky Donor star could do anything for money because he had wounded their sentiments.
However, the actual situation is distinct. The video is from a 2017 performance he did in Dubai; it was shot some time ago. It was confirmed once the footage was examined across several platforms.
A five-minute YouTube video titled “Ayushman Khurana giving tribute to all Asian countries through his Punjabi singing in Dubai” is available. This video contains the viral clip.
He appears in the video in the beginning singing a Punjabi song.
“We are dedicating this song to our friends in Pakistan,” Ayushman stated prior to the late Junaid Jamshed’s performance. In addition, he performed the Chak De India song from an Indian film.
