As the new month rolls in along with a new week, Pakistan braces for a stretch of predominantly dry weather, although certain regions in the north may see a departure from this pattern.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Monday looks to be primarily dry with a break from the recent rains in Islamabad, the federal capital, and the surrounding districts.

A change in weather is anticipated on Tuesday, though, with partly cloudy skies predicted for the evening and nighttime.

In the direction of Punjab, most districts are predicted to stay dry on Monday and Tuesday. However, once night falls on Tuesday, areas like Murree and Galiat, as well as the neighboring areas, may get some rain and thunderstorms.

Most districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to see a similar dry period on Monday. But on Tuesday, things might be different, especially in regions like Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Kurram, Khyber, Shangla, and Buner, where there’s a good chance of rain and thundershowers in the evening and night.

The heatwave is predicted to continue in Sindh, with Monday and Tuesday forecast to be hot and dry.

Looking north, conditions in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir may be dry on Monday, but on Tuesday, both areas could see partly overcast skies with a chance of rain and thundershowers in the late afternoon and evening.

It is recommended that citizens keep themselves informed about the most recent forecasts and take appropriate precautions, such as focusing on staying hydrated during sehri and iftari.
