ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has disbursed over Rs. 77 billion among more than 73,00,000 beneficiaries from across the country under the Benazir Kafaalat scheme.

Benazir Kafaalat scheme’s quarterly tranche (Jan-March) of Rs. 10,500 is being disbursed in the country smoothly.

“As of April 3 at 4:00 pm, more than 73,00,000 Benazir Kafaalat program beneficiaries—or 79 percent of all beneficiaries—have received almost Rs. 77 billion in disbursements,” an official source disclosed.

Balochistan, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan are among the regions where the payment procedure is ongoing concurrently to distribute the enhanced payment of Rs. 10,500 per household to more than nine million deserving families.

It is recommended that recipients obtain all of their payments from an agent or representative of the closest designated bank and get in touch with the nearest Tehsil office or the toll-free number 080026477.

In addition to Benazir Kafaalat stipend payments, education stipends are being distributed nationwide. According to the official source, beneficiaries are also receiving the special Ramzan grant in some places.
