While most people go to parks to escape technology, WiFi in public parks and outdoor areas improves the whole experience for guests in the tech era.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has made the decision to support individuals who want to work remotely, keep connected, or just pass the time while having fun outside.

According to reports, the government has chosen to provide free WiFi in the public parks of Peshawar. A conference to discuss maintenance projects and other leisure activities in the city was headed by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The Chief Minister gave the pertinent authorities instructions during the meeting to complete the preparations for the free WiFi service so that the province government would approve them.
He also indicated future ambitions to bring the service to more cities. In order to enhance the travel experience for the public, the meeting also voted to implement a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service on Nasir Bagh Road.
CM placed a strong emphasis on building underpasses rather than overhead bridges, switching to solar power for street lights, and immediately building and repairing roads, especially those along the University Road BRT Corridor.
He further called for the placement of artificial plants, painting of walls and bridges with cultural designs, and sought cooperation from private organizations for these initiatives.
