ISLAMABAD: Rain and thundershowers are likely to occur in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of the country today.
On Friday, a Rain-windstorm/thunderstorm is expected to occur again in Islamabad and surrounding, while hailstorms are also likely in a few places.
PMD has given a flood warning today stating;
Heavy rainfall may generate flash flooding in local nullahs/Streams of Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, Manshera, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and Tributaries of Kabul River on 18th and 19th April.
Possibility of landslides in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galiyat, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan and may affect the vulnerable locations during the period.
Windstorm/hailstorm and lightning may damage standing crops, loose structures like electric poles, vehicles, and solar panels, etc during the period.
A trough of strong westerly wave is affecting most parts of the country and will extend to upper parts on 19th April.
Rain-windstorm/thunderstorm with few heavyfall/hailstorm is expected in most parts of country.
Rain-windstorm/thunderstorm with few heavyfall/hailstorm is expected in most places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Punjab and Islamabad.
Rain-wind/thunderstorm occurred in Balochistan, upper Sindh, south/northeastern Punjab. Heavyfall also occurred in south Balochistan during the period.
