More than 100 Punjab hospitals will be upgraded this month

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi conducted a thorough inspection of Children’s Hospital, focusing on ongoing improvements in various areas of the facility.

During his visit, CM Naqvi reviewed the progress of the upgrade work, with a focus on the main corridor, reception counter, and overall construction quality.

The upgrading initiatives, spearheaded by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, have been accelerated in response to the urgent need for improved facilities. The emergency department, main corridor, and other wards are being significantly upgraded.

CM Naqvi emphasized the importance of maintaining high-quality standards, especially in the areas of electricity and air conditioning wiring. He set a strict three-day deadline for completing the wiring work.

The Chief Minister also urged for the prompt installation of tiles in the main corridor and praised Secretary C&W, Secretary Health, and their teams for their excellent work.

Mohsin Naqvi expressed satisfaction with the progress made, issuing directives for the early completion of the upgrade work and announcing a goal of improving facilities in over 100 hospitals across Punjab by January 31.

Secretary C&W and Secretary Health provided an update on the ongoing upgrade project, including information on the start of tile installation and finishing work.

The ongoing revamping project in government hospitals is being closely monitored, with the Children’s Hospital administration, XEN, and all contractors under strict orders to complete the construction work by January 15, prioritizing the provision of improved facilities for Punjab residents.
