PSL 9 Rawalpindi weather: Rain can spoil double-header today

As Rawalpindi prepares for a doubleheader today in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL 9) season nine, rain could spoil the matches raising concerns among cricket fans and players.

Islamabad United is to face Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi to play against Lahore Qalandars at Pindi Cricket Stadium on March 2 with the chances of rain looming large.

Pakistan Metrological Department, however, states that there is a 100% probability of rain during the day, with showers and thunderstorms possible. Meanwhile, the probability of rain at night time is 90%.

Yesterday, there was also significant rainfall in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. “Rain could pour in at any time during the next two days. Saturday could be the worst hit day,” said Met Dept.

Met Office stated that there was a chance of rain and thunderstorms on Saturday. The upcoming rainy spell is predicted to begin on Friday evening, with Saturday being the day most hit.

As uncertainty peaks for the PSL Rawalpindi-leg matches, concerns arose over conducting the games amidst such adverse weather conditions.
