Punjab govt announces reduction in roti price by Rs4

LAHORE: The public welfare measures of the Maryam Nawaz government continue in Punjab as Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has now announced a reduction in the price of bread (Roti) providing a much-needed relief to inflation-ridden citizens.

The price of roti has been fixed at Rs 16 from today after the reduction of Rs 4.

CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz directed the authorities to ensure the sale of bread at 16 rupees across Punjab. Maryam Nawaz said that instructions have been issued to all the districts and relevant departments of Punjab to ensure strict implementation of the decision.

Taking on X, the Punjab Chief Minister said, “Alhamdulillah, the Punjab government has reduced the price of bread to Rs 16 from today. I have issued instructions to all the districts and concerned departments of Punjab to ensure strict implementation of this decision. May Allah Almighty make it easier for the people.”

On the other hand, in Punjab, a bag of 20 kg of flour is fixed at Rs 2800 with a decrease of Rs. 500.
