Punjab Govt Offers Interest-Free loans of Rs5 Lakh and Rs1 Million under Apni Chhat Mehfooz Chhat 2026

LAHORE: Interest-free loans of Rs 5 and 1 million are being provided under the Punjab government’s Apni Chhat Mehboob Chhat 2026 program.

The Punjab government has launched the Apni Chhat, Mehboob Chhat (My Chhat, Mehboob Chhat) Scheme 2026 for people to repair and expand their existing houses, under which interest-free loans of Rs 5 to 1 million will be provided.

Under this government scheme, these loans will be given in two different categories.

Citizens who want to repair their existing roofs or strengthen the infrastructure of their homes. They will be given a loan of Rs 5 million, which they will have to repay in monthly installments of only Rs 4,700 over 9 years.

Citizens who want to build an extension (second floor) of their houses will be given an interest-free loan of Rs 1 million and its repayment period is also 9 years. The monthly installment of this loan will be Rs 9,300.

How to Apply Online:

Interested citizens can apply online for their Chhat, Mahfuz Chhat Loan Scheme through acag.punjab.gov.pk. They need to enter their credentials to register for the program.

Applicants can also submit a handwritten application

Those who cannot use computers can submit their loan applications to the offices of Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners and Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency.
