In order to ensure that the holy month begins on the same day nationwide, the authority has asked for support from all Pakistanis in this matter.

The start of the holy month is scheduled for Tuesday (tomorrow), if the moon is visible today. In the meantime, on Shaban 29 following Asr prayers, meetings of various zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal committees will be held concurrently at their respective locations in anticipation of the Ramadan moon sighting of Hijri year 1445.

According to the Met Office, the Ramadan moon was predicted to be born at 2:00 PM on Sunday and may be seen today when it would be older than 28 hours.
