JHANG: A 27-year-old American woman has married a 29-year-old man from Jhang, Pakistan. Karensha Madison Grace, a resident of South Carolina, USA, traveled all the way to Jhang for marriage.
She first connected with Naeem-ul-Hassan, a resident of Mouza Hassan Khan in Jhang, through social media two years ago. After staying in touch, she finally arrived in Jhang, accepted Islam at Jamia Arabia Dar-ul-Huda, and changed her name to Kaneez Ayesha.
She then went to the Kachehri (district court), where the marriage ceremony was held in the chamber of Advocate Rana Aamir Shehzad. The bride and groom looked visibly happy during the event.
The American woman was previously married in the U.S. and has three daughters. However, she divorced her first husband after falling in love with Naeem-ul-Hassan and came to Pakistan to start a new life.
