MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor has publicly confirmed his breakup with longtime girlfriend Malaika Arora, putting an end to months of speculation.
During a recent outing at politician Raj Thackeray’s Diwali party in Mumbai, Kapoor was greeted with chants of “Malaika” from the crowd. In response, he humorously declared, “Nahi abhi single hoon. Relax karo” (No, I’m single now. Relax).
Kapoor’s confirmation comes months after reports first emerged in May that the couple had amicably parted ways. Despite the rumors, neither Kapoor nor Arora had publicly addressed the split until now.
The actor’s lighthearted response suggests he’s moving on and embracing his newfound single status.
Kapoor and Arora began dating in 2018, following her divorce from ex-husband Arbaaz Khan in 2017. The couple made their relationship official on social media on Arora’s 45th birthday. However, their romance appears to have come to an end.
On the professional front, Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again” on November 1, coinciding with the Hindu festival of Diwali.
The film is part of Shetty’s cop universe and stars an ensemble cast, including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff.
