LAHORE: Popular Pakistani YouTuber Ducky Bhai, whose real name is Saad Ur Rehman, and his spouse Aroob Jatoi have been arrested by Lahore police for displaying illegal weapons on social media.
According to the media reports, the Model Town Organized Crime Unit took action against Ducky Bhai and Aroob for posting pictures on their Instagram account showcasing the weapons. The couple, known for their family vlogs with millions of views daily, is also accused of promoting anti-governmental slogans, sources said.
However, no official report has been provided yet, ducky bhai fans are worried for their favorite YouTubers and hope for their quick and safe release. It’s worth noting that Ducky Bhai and his wife have been in the news before, particularly when Aroob became a victim of a deepfake video.
The couple had offered a reward of one million rupees for information leading to the identification of the person responsible for creating the video. Ducky Bhai has a massive following of over eight million subscribers on YouTube.
The reports recently emerged suggesting that Lahore police have released Saad ur Rehman and his wife after brief detention. Both were released after apologizing in writing and expressing regret.
As per reports, the police then decided to free them without filing any more charges.
