Turkish actress Ece Irtem passes away at 35

ANKARA: Turkish showbiz industry‘s leading actress Ece Irtem has passed away at the age of 35, according to Turkish media reports.

The sudden death of the actress, who played ‘Aşıl’ in the popular TV drama ‘One Love’, has left fans and the artist community in shock.

According to Turkish media reports, Ece Irtem was found unconscious in her home on Monday afternoon. It has been reported that she was at home with her mother when she suddenly faced a medical emergency. Tragically, she could not be saved.

According to the actress’s lawyer, Uğur Gökköyun, initial medical examinations suggest that her death was due to a heart attack.

However, a formal investigation into the incident is underway and the final cause of death will be revealed only after the post-mortem report comes out. The lawyer also denied the news circulating on social media that the actress committed suicide.

Ece had celebrated her 35th birthday a day earlier, after which the news of her sudden death shocked fans even more.

Born on June 14, 1991, in the Turkish city of Sivas, Ece graduated from the Opera and Vocal Performance Department of Yasar University in 2014.

Later, she received acting training from the Saadi Alisik Cultural Center in Istanbul and entered the world of showbiz.

She gained the most fame for her role as ‘Aşıl’ in the Turkish drama One Love, which made her one of the country’s emerging talented actresses.

Fans and fellow artists are expressing their condolences on social media over her unexpected death.
