LAHORE: President of the Istehkam-e- Pakistan Party (IPP), Abdul Aleem Khan, has appealed to the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, especially the youth, to use their votes in the upcoming elections with utmost responsibility, awareness, and keeping in mind the national interest.

He said that the elections are not just about changing governments but are an important opportunity to determine the future of future generations, the development of the region, and the prosperity of the people.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that for the sustainable development and economic stability of Azad Kashmir, it is necessary to establish effective means of generating revenue at the local level in the region. Until Azad Kashmir strengthens its economy and increases its income, it will not be possible to realize the dream of major development projects and public welfare.

He added that promoting new investment in Azad Kashmir is the need of the hour. The government must provide a conducive environment where local and foreign investors invest with confidence, industry and trade are promoted, business activities increase, and new avenues of economic development open.

He noted that increased investment will not only strengthen the economy but also provide employment to unemployed youth, especially for our daughters and sons; there will also be ample opportunities for decent employment.

President of the IPP Abdul Aleem Khan said that Azad Kashmir is a region rich in natural beauty, charming valleys and unparalleled tourist destinations, therefore, the promotion of tourism can become the basis for the development of the region.

He went on to say that if the tourism sector is developed according to modern requirements, basic facilities are improved and investment in this sector is encouraged, then not only will the revenue in Azad Kashmir increase but the local economy will be stable, business activities will increase and thousands of youth will get direct and indirect employment.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that elections give the people an opportunity to change their destiny every five years; therefore, while casting their votes, instead of personal affiliations or temporary slogans, the bright future of their children, the development of their region, the prosperity of Azad Kashmir and a better tomorrow for the coming generations should be kept in mind.

He appealed to the people not to be deceived this time by those elements who have repeatedly made big promises to the people in the past but have failed to fulfill their promises after coming to power.

They could not fulfill them after the election. Instead of trying politicians who claim development and service before every election but forget about public issues after success, their opinions should be used on the basis of performance, honesty and public service

Abdul Aleem Khan, while addressing the youth, sons and daughters of Azad Kashmir, said that they should not limit themselves to voting themselves but should also take their parents, elders and family members to the polling station and make them realize that the vote is not cast for an individual but for their family, their region and the future of Azad Kashmir.

It is the responsibility of the youth to raise political awareness in their families and ensure the election of candidates who have a clear vision of honesty, service, merit and progress. Abdul Aleem Khan said that before casting his vote, every citizen must review the deprivations of his area, the problems facing Azad Kashmir, the injustices committed in the past and the unfulfilled promises made to the people.

He said that the people of Azad Kashmir have a historic opportunity today to choose a future through their vote that is much brighter, more developed, prosperous, strong and dignified than the current situation.

President of the IPP Abdul Aleem Khan appealed to all Kashmiri brothers and sisters to participate fully in the democratic process, recognize the power of their vote and make a decision that will result in a future Azad Kashmir that is much more beautiful, more developed, more prosperous, more empowered and significantly improved in every sphere of life than today’s Azad Kashmir.

He reiterated the resolve that the Stability Pakistan Party will continue its struggle for public service, economic stability, transparent governance, employment for the youth, promotion of investment, and all-round development of Azad Kashmir.
