ISLAMABAD: After launching the Magic8 and Magic8 Pro in China last month, Honor is now gearing up to bring the Magic8 Pro to global markets, starting with Malaysia.

The company has started teasing the upcoming release of the phone on its official Twitter account, although it has yet to confirm a specific launch date.

The Magic8 Pro will be the first in the series to be launched internationally. As of now, there is no indication that the standard Magic8 will be joining it in this rollout, as it has not been mentioned in any promotional materials.

The Honor Magic8 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and features a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1256 x 2808 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,320Hz PWM a60 brightness, and a 6.71-inch display.

On the back, the device features a triple camera setup: a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.7x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus. The front camera is also a 50MP sensor with autofocus.

The phone runs Android 10 with MagicOS 16 on top and packs a 7,200mAh battery, one of the largest capacities seen in a flagship phone this year.

More details, including availability and pricing, are expected in the coming days as the Malaysian launch draws closer.
