The Iran Ballistic Missile Attack on USS Abraham Lincoln has raised serious tensions in the Middle East. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed it targeted the US aircraft carrier with four ballistic missiles.
In a statement, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the attack was launched in response to recent strikes by the United States and Israel. The group described the operation as part of a new phase of military action.
The target of the reported strike was the USS Abraham Lincoln. According to the IRGC, four ballistic missiles successfully hit the aircraft carrier.
The US aircraft carrier had been deployed to the region amid rising tensions. Iranian officials said the strike came on the second day of the conflict after American and Israeli operations against Iran.
The IRGC warned that both land and sea battlefields would become dangerous zones for what it called “aggressor forces.” It added that more details about the attack would be released later.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Red Crescent Society reported that more than 200 civilians have been killed in recent strikes by the United States and Israel. Among them were around 100 schoolchildren, who were reportedly killed in an attack on an elementary school in Hormozgan province.
There has been no immediate confirmation from US authorities regarding the reported missile strike on the aircraft carrier.
The Iran Ballistic Missile Attack on USS Abraham Lincoln marks a serious escalation in the ongoing confrontation. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to exchange statements and military actions.
