Israeli PM Chief of Staff Dismissed after a wave of criticism over controversial racist remarks, drawing backlash from both government allies and opposition members in Israel. The decision came after public outrage grew over the statements and raised concerns about political conduct.

The dismissed official, Ziv Agmon, had been serving as chief of staff to the Israeli prime minister. His remarks quickly triggered strong reactions across the political spectrum.

According to reports, Agmon used offensive language while referring to members of parliament. He allegedly called Nissim Vaturi a “baboon” and described Eli Revivo as a “mentally disabled Moroccan.”

These comments were widely condemned as racist and inappropriate. Critics said such language has no place in public office and damages the image of political institutions.

Agmon also questioned how such individuals could reach parliament, further fueling anger among lawmakers and the public.

Following the backlash, the prime minister decided to remove him from his position. The move is seen as an effort to control the situation and address concerns over unacceptable remarks.

Political analysts say the incident highlights growing sensitivity around language and conduct in politics. It also shows how quickly public pressure can lead to decisive action.
