Pakistan Extends Airspace Ban on Indian Aircraft Until July 24

Pakistan has extended its airspace restrictions on Indian aircraft, with the latest decision keeping the ban in place until July 24. The move means that Pakistan Extends Airspace Ban on Indian Aircraft remains a key regional aviation development amid ongoing tensions between the neighboring countries.

According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the restriction now applies until 4:59am on July 24. The extension took effect from 5:50pm on June 16.

The authority stated that the ban covers all Indian-registered aircraft, including both civilian and military planes. As a result, Indian carriers and other affected operators will continue to avoid Pakistani airspace during the extended period.

Pakistan initially imposed the restrictions as part of a series of measures linked to strained bilateral relations. The latest extension indicates that there has been no immediate change in the circumstances that led to the closure of its airspace to Indian aircraft.

The continued ban is expected to impact flight routes and operational planning for airlines that would otherwise use Pakistani airspace on regional and international journeys. Airlines may need to rely on alternative routes, potentially increasing travel times and operational costs.

The Pakistan Airports Authority has not announced any further modifications to the restrictions beyond the newly issued deadline. Any future changes are expected to be communicated through official notifications.
