ISLAMABAD: 68 Pakistani nationals in jail are facing death sentence for serious crimes like terrorism, murder and drug trafficking.
The report highlights that most of these prisoners are held in the United Arab Emirates (5,292) and Saudi Arabia (10,432), accounting for 74 percent of the total. Other countries with significant numbers of Pakistani prisoners include Malaysia (463), United Kingdom (321) and Oman (578).
Pakistani prisoners are also being detained in countries like Turkey, Bahrain, Greece, China, USA and Germany. The data highlights the legal challenges faced by Pakistanis abroad, particularly those facing the death penalty for serious crimes.
