3 terrorists killed during ongoing search operation in Lakki Marwat

LAKKI MARWAT: Police killed 3 terrorists in a search and strike operation in Lakki Marwat while several injured militants managed to escape.

Anti-terrorism operations are underway at the district level across the province on the special instructions of IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed. Lakki Marwat in particular has faced repeated cowardly attacks by terrorists, to which the local police are responding with full force and effectiveness.

On information about the presence of terrorists in the limits of Tajuri police station last night, local police and peace committee members pursued the suspects. Acting immediately on the information, District Police Officer Jawad Ishaq reached the spot and launched an operation led by a joint team of Lakki Marwat police, CTD, and Quick Response Force, in which the peace committee and residents cooperated fully.

At around 10:45 am, the operation resulted in a fierce gunfight between Tajuri and Bargai police stations in the forest area of ​​Khan Khel Mandzai, where 20 to 25 terrorists were engaged. The heavy exchange of fire continued for two hours.

Fighting bravely and without any casualties, the police neutralized three terrorists. Several others, though injured, managed to escape, triggering an ongoing search operation in the area.

According to the DPO, the people of Lakki Marwat showed extraordinary courage and patriotism and stood shoulder to shoulder with the police, boosting their morale.

IGP Zulfiqar Hameed, while appreciating the bravery and valor of the Lakki Marwat police, announced cash rewards and commendation certificates for the personnel involved. He also paid tribute to the patriotic spirit of the local citizens and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to them on behalf of the KP Police.
