ANF recovers heroin hidden in potatoes to be sent to Sri Lanka

KARACHI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) busted a huge quantity of heroin hidden in potatoes from a shipping container, which was bound to be sent to Colombo, Sri Lanka.

According to the ANF spokesperson, the anti-narcotics force conducted a major operation at the Karachi International Container Terminal and recovered a huge amount of heroin from a container full of potatoes.

The ANF said that a total of about 5 kg of heroin was skillfully concealed in 122 potatoes, packed in 1,198 bags. Out of a total of 80 bags, 1 to 2 heroin-laced potatoes were expertly hidden in each bag.

ANF Spokesperson added that they have arrested one accused raids are going on to arrest more accused.

The arrested accused has been transferred to the ANF Police Station and further investigation has been started.
