KARACHI: Hazim Bangwar, the stylish and charismatic Assistant Commissioner of Karachi’s North Nazimabad, has been removed from his post.

A local media channel confirmed this news, with an official notification addressing Hazim’s removal as the Assistant Commissioner of North Nazimabad.

Additionally, the notification instructed him to report to the Services and General Administration Department for further directives. This news comes after he gained widespread recognition for his unique approach to the role and his distinctive style.

As a multifaceted individual, Bangwar has explored various passions, including music, fashion, modeling, poetry, and fiction writing. His music career took off in London, where he released his first single, “Haram,” which charted internationally, making him the first Pakistani singer to reach the global charts with an English song.

He has also worked with prominent artists like Jessie J, Future, Ciara, Juelz, T-Pain, Jason Derulo, and Nicki Minaj.

His social media announcement was met with excitement, but also sparked controversy due to his effeminate and unique fashion sense, with some labeling him as “transgender” or “female.”

However, Bangwar addressed these speculations, clarifying that he is male and expressing offense at the stereotype that being a woman or identifying as a third gender is inherently bad.

Despite facing criticism, Bangwar remained committed to serving the people of North Nazimabad. His colleague, Sana Tariq Syed, praised him as a competent, hardworking, and morally righteous officer.

Even amid speculation about his enrollment in Harvard, Bangwar assured the public that he would continue serving Pakistan and attending classes online.
