ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Omar Ayub, in connection with a protest and vandalism case.
The court ordered the police to arrest the accused, including party leader Omar Ayub, Zartaj Gul, and Zain Qureshi, and produce them before the court at the next hearing in the case registered at the Sangjani Police Station.
The court directed the SP-rank officer to carry out the arrests of the PTI leaders and ensure their presentation before the court.
The court observed that arrest warrants for the same accused had been issued previously, but the directives were not executed.
The duty judge expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of compliance and reiterated the order to enforce the warrants immediately.
