PM Shehbaz announces package for industries & farmers

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has announced a package for industries and farmers, here on Thursday.

As per the details, a delegation of experts from the industrial and agricultural sectors and the business community met the Prime Minister, in which Shehbaz Sharif announced a package for industries and farmers.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that for the next 3 years, additional electricity will be provided to the industrial and agricultural sectors at Rs 22.98 per unit for the entire year, industries and farmers will get additional electricity at a concessional price from November 2025 to October 2028.

The Prime Minister said that the price of the units received by the industrial sector at Rs 34 and the agricultural sector at Rs 38 will be reduced and additional units will be provided, while the burden of electricity provided under the ‘Roshan Maishat Bijli Package’ will not be borne by domestic consumers or any other sector.

PM Shehbaz said that under the package given in the winter last year, the industrial and agricultural sectors used 410 gigawatts of additional electricity, thanks to which industries moved forward, exports increased and employment opportunities were created. If the industrial and agricultural sectors develop, the country will get rid of debts.
