ISLAMABAD: An Auction of several Bahria town properties is scheduled on June 12 at 11 am at the National Accountability Bureau regional office in Islamabad by the NAB, according to media reports.
Prominent properties such as Arena Cinema, Safari Club, Rubeish Marquee and Lawn, Bahria Garden City, Golf Course, Bahria Town Islamabad, and the Corporate Office in Phase 2 of Bahria Town shall be auctioned by the authorities.
Before the auction, purchasers will also get a special briefing at the NAB headquarters.
The initiative is a component of NAB’s continuous endeavors to retrieve assets and guarantee openness via public auctions.
Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had recovered over Rs 88 billion in the first quarter of 2025, according to official figures released on Saturday.
The anti-corruption body reported Rs two billion in direct recoveries and approximately Rs 86 billion in indirect recovered. mainly involving land reclaimed in corruption cases.
The recovered funds and assets were returned to the affected government departments and institutions.
A large portion of the recoveries came from housing and infrastructure scams, particularly from NAB Lahore, which recovered Rs 70 billion from the high-profile cases, including the Employees Cooperative Housing Society and Sarwar Omega Villas.
In Balochitsanh, NAB recovered 590 acres of land valued at Rs 6.4 billion while NAB KPK retrieved Rs 560 million in a case involving Swat University and government departments.
Nab sukkur reclaimed 610 acres of the National Highways Authority and Rs 8.5 billion, and NAB Multan reported Rs 13.2 million in the GFS Seven Wonders housing scheme case.
