ISLAMABAD: The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment has issued a public warning advising citizens against dealing with travel agencies that claim to arrange foreign work visas.

As the advisory elucidates, such agencies have no legal link with overseas work visas and must not be paid any amount for job-related processing.

The Bureau reminded that employment opportunities abroad could only be granted by licensed Overseas Employment Promoters.

Citizens have been advised to check registered recruitment agencies through the official list available on the Bureau’s website at [www.beoe.gov.pk/list-of-oeps] before entering into any transaction.

Azad Visa Update

A day earlier, the Bureau issued a public advisory regarding the “Azad Visa” of foreign countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Bureau has clarified that no foreign country offers any legal category known as “Azad Visa.” All work visas are tied to a particular company, sponsor, or firm, and legally, the workers are obliged to serve only the employer with whom they have signed an official contract.

It explained that many of the Gulf countries strictly ban the concept of a free visa, although some nations do permit a limited change in sponsorship under certain legal conditions.
