Bilawal, Maryam, Buzdar’s nomination papers accepted

Shehbaz Sharif from National Assembly constituency NA-242 have been declared valid.

LAHORE: The nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar have been accepted.

Maryam Nawaz ‘s nomination papers have been accepted from six constituencies of Lahore and Sargodha including NA-119, NA-120, PP-159, PP-160, PP-165, and PP-80.

Zeeshan Malik, Political Secretary to Maryam Nawaz, said that the party would make the final decision as to where from Maryam Nawaz would contest the election.

The nomination papers of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have been accepted from National Assembly constituencies including NA-194 and NA-196 from Larkana, Sindh.

The nomination papers of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif from National Assembly constituency NA-242 have been declared valid.

PML-N leader Nehal Hashmi said that the returning officer had declared Shehbaz Sharif’s nomination papers valid.

Moreover, the nomination papers of former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar as an independent candidate from the Punjab Assembly seat PP-284 have been accepted.

It should be noted that today is the last day of scrutiny of nomination papers submitted by candidates aspiring to contest general elections 2024.
