WANA: Three Indian-backed terrorists are cornered in a specific building of the Cadet College Wana in South Waziristan, security sources said, a day after they launched a suicide attack.
At the time of the attack on the Cadet College, approximately 650 individuals, including 525 cadets, were present, the state-run PTV News reported, citing security sources.
On November 10, the Afghan Khawarijs had rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into the college’s main gate, completely demolishing it and damaging nearby buildings.
Acting swiftly, Pakistan Army soldiers killed two Khawarijs on the spot.
Sources said that security forces have surrounded the building, confining three terrorists. Meanwhile, 115 individuals have been safely rescued so far.
Security sources said that the process of evacuating cadets from the college premises is underway. “At this time, approximately 535 individuals are still present inside the college.”
“The building, where the Afghan Khawarijs are confined, is located at a considerable distance from the cadets’ residential buildings,” sources said, assuring that all cadets are safe.
Due to the presence of the cadets in the college, the operation is being conducted with utmost caution against Afghan terrorists to ensure the safety of students.
“The terrorists who attacked innocent tribal children have no connection to Islam, nor to Pakistan’s prosperity. The operation by security forces will continue until the complete elimination of the terrorists,” security sources stated.
