ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Islamabad balloted residential plots in the Margalla Enclave joint housing project of the two organizations.
The ceremony was held at the Jacaranda Family Club, DHA Phase-2, Islamabad, attended by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Acting Administrator of DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi Brig (retd) Ghulam Murtaza along with distinguished personalities.
So far, the project has been a huge success, with about 47,000 applications received for 125, 250, and 500 square-yard plots. Chairman Randhawa pointed out that Margalla Enclave is meant to be the first joint agreement between CDA and DHA to provide a solution for housing in Islamabad.
Work will take place on it to ensure the delivery of housing facilities with quality. Development of the scheme is fast, and successful applicants should be able to go for possession within a year.
This project would cover an area of about 10,000 kanals located at the foot of Margalla Hills. It will be approachable from Park Road and Srinagar Highway through link roads and will be adjoining the Margalla Botanical Garden, which CDA and DHA intend to develop jointly.
The same project is also going to accommodate about 1000 residents from the localities of Rehara and Kurri, who, in turn, are going to undergo compensation for their land.
