CDA issues clarification on metro service price hike

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a clarification on the increased fares for the metro bus services in the capital city.

A CDA spokesperson clarified on Saturday that fares for Orange, Blue, Green, and electric bus routes remain unchanged.

The notification circulated on social media platforms is fake, according to the spokesperson of the CDA.

Earlier, it was said that the federal capital administration announced a significant hike in the one-way fares of the Orange Line Metrobus, Green Line, Blue Line, and Electric Feeder Route services in Islamabad, effective May 26, 2025.

The revised fares will apply to the Orange Line Metro Bus System, Green Line feeder route, Blue Line, and electric vehicle feeder routes, with uniform fares implemented across these services.
