LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has declared an order to register a case against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s son Suleman Shehbaz in a cheque dishonour matter null and void.
Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Alia Neelam gave the verdict after hearing the petition filed by Salman Shehbaz.
The petition had taken the position that the Sessions Court had ordered the registration of a case on July 10 in the cheque dishonour matter, which was issued contrary to law and without examining the facts.
The petition further requested that the decision of the Sessions Court be declared illegal and null and void.
After hearing the arguments of the parties, Chief Justice Alia Neelam declared the order to register the case of the Sessions Court null and void.
