ISLAMABAD: The China Chamber of Commerce in Pakistan (CCCPK) and the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), under the direction of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Pakistan, formally launched the Job Fair 2025 at the Pak-China Friendship Centre in Islamabad
This is a historic event highlighting the strength of Pakistan-China cooperation. Under the theme “Bridging Skills; Building Futures,” the job fair featured 20 major Chinese companies based in Pakistan, presenting over 500 job offers to skilled Pakistani technical and vocational graduates.
As chief guests, Jiang Zaidong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, and Honorable Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training (FE&PT) Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Mr. FE&PT Minister of State, Mr. Minister Counselor of the Chinese People’s Republic Embassy in Pakistan, Yang Guangyuan Chairman CCCPK Wang Huihua and Ms. Chairwoman NAVTTC, Gulmina Bilal.
Ms. in her Valedictory Note Wajiha Qamar said that this event is a statement that Pakistan is releasing its potential and that young Pakistanis are on the road to creating the future of the country, not only a job fair.
She praised NAVTCC’s URAAN Pakistan Programme advocacy. She informed the job fair attendees that boys, girls, madrassah students, and differently abled children; all are being given relevant future skills i.e., IT, e-learning platforms, game development, AI, hi-tech skills, etc. She insisted, “Pakistan doesn’t walk alone; China has been marching with us.” Family-like. We create futures, not only roads.
In his unique comments, Yang Guangyuan stressed that a new stage of CPEC is being developed jointly by China and Pakistan. He told the audience that most Chinese enterprises intended to grow their operations in Pakistan during the first quarter of this year, and he was confident in the leadership of both countries.
Minister Counselor emphasized that “youth is Pakistan’s greatest asset.” He noted that this was the first time the appropriate organizations from both nations had set up a job fair.
He noted that this is particularly relevant given that the second phase of CPEC is to emphasize manufacturing, which would generate notable employment in Pakistan.
Mr. Wang Huihua extended his warmest gratitude to every participant. He underlined the CPEC’s contributions toward significant job creation in addition to the mere increase of energy megawatts in the national grid or kilometers to highways. He told the participants that today over 30,000 people of Pakistan work for CCCPK’s member Chinese companies.
Ms. Gulmina started her comments by thanking CCCPK for their unwavering efforts in coordinating with NAVTTC to make this event possible. She also emphasized her particular gratitude for Mr. You is trained on data up to October 2023.
With the help of Wajiha Qamar, the NAVTTC training providers, and all the graduates, this event might be successful. She said that NAVTTC has created a work-ready workforce of men, women, transpeople, religious students—practically all the hues of Pakistan.
She said that China has taught us that the master key to development is competency training. The Chinese pace and quality stem from its people. She also said she hoped to start a range of employment fairs from Islamabad, spreading throughout Pakistan.
