Provincial ministers and members of the assembly were also present on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that misunderstandings were spread regarding action against religious schools and lockdown, although the government never had and does not have such an intention.
He said that religious schools are an important part of society and the government would extend all possible cooperation for their development and improvement.
CM Bugti said that the Parliament has passed the Madrasa Registration Act and has now presented it in the Balochistan Assembly.
He said that detailed discussions have been held with the leadership of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam in this regard, while Maulana Abdul Wasay has also presented his demands and suggestions.
The Chief Minister said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muslim League allies have asked Maulana Abdul Wasay for ten days to take their party leadership into confidence because basically this is a legislation related to the federation which has to come up in the provincial assembly now.
He expressed the hope that steps would be taken for the legislation by consensus in the Balochistan Assembly and God willing, this matter would be resolved through mutual consultation and understanding.
He thanked the leadership of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and said that the leadership of Jamiat always gave respect, honor and compassion.
The CM said that religious seminaries are an important part of our society and we always consider them close to our hearts.
