COAS calls on President Zardari, discusses overall country’s security situation

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir called on President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad on Wednesday.

According to the details, both the President and COAS discuss matters related to the country’s overall security situation and ongoing operations against terrorists.

Gen Syed Asim Munir congratulated Asif Ali Zardari for becoming president and supreme commander of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

The Army Chief also extended his good wishes to the president.

The President Zardari also appreciated the Pakistan Army’s role in safeguarding the country and its development.
