Additional portfolios assigned to five federal ministers

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assigned additional portfolios to five existing federal ministers, the Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.

According to the notification, Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan has been given an additional portfolio of Ministry of Communication.

Moreover, Chaudhry Salik Hussain was given the additional portfolio of religious affairs, and Federal Minister for Industry and Production Rana Tanveer was given the additional portfolio of National Food and Security.

Ahsan Iqbal has been given the additional portfolio of Inter-Provincial Coordination, and Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik has been given the additional portfolio of the Ministry of Water Resources.

The Prime Minister, in terms of rule 3(4) of the Rules of Business, 1973, has allocated the additional portfolios (business of the Government) to the Federal Ministers. According to another notification, PM Shehbaz has approved the appointment of Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan as coordinator.
