ISLAMABAD: According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in a few places in Islamabad during the next 24 hours, while the weather is expected to be extremely cold in most districts of Balochistan.
The weather will remain cold and dry in most areas of Punjab, however, rain is expected in Narowal, Sialkot and Jhelum.
The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Murree, Galiyat and surrounding areas.
In addition, rain and snowfall have been predicted at a few places in the districts of Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Kohistan, Dir and Swat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Rain and snowfall have also been predicted in some areas in Gilgit-Baltistan. The weather is expected to be cold and dry in most districts of Sindh.
On the other hand, the air pollution situation in Lahore has once again become alarming. Lahore has come seventh in the list of the most polluted cities in the world. The city’s overall air quality index has been recorded at 184.
According to the data, the highest AQI was recorded in DHA Phase 8 at 423, while 348 was recorded in Wahdat Road area and 324 in Thokar Niaz Baig.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Lahore is cool and the minimum temperature was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to go up to 21 degrees. The winds are currently blowing at a speed of 3 kilometers per hour in the city.
