ISLAMABAD: Efforts are reportedly underway to facilitate a meeting between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Khan Afridi and former prime minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, according to sources.
Sources said contacts have once again been established between the federal government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding the possibility of arranging the meeting.
According to reports, senior government officials have communicated with PTI representatives, and discussions are ongoing to address matters related to the proposed meeting.
Sources indicated that important developments could take place in the coming hours as both sides remain engaged in consultations.
The PTI leadership has reportedly been kept informed about the ongoing contacts concerning the proposed meeting with the party founder.
No official statement has yet been issued by either the federal government or PTI regarding the outcome of the discussions or the scheduling of the meeting.
