Donation boxes of Shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar opened after 8 months

SEHWAN: The offering boxes of the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar were opened in Sehwan.

According to Chief Administrator Auqaf Mukhtiar Abro, the offering boxes were opened after 8 months and 14 days and the counting continued for 4 days.

He said that during the 4-day counting, Rs 23.878 crore was taken out of the boxes, and gold and silver in large quantities were also found in the offering boxes.

He said that foreign currency is also included in the offerings, while gold and silver will be kept in the Tosha Khana.

According to Mukhtiar Abro, the counting process was completed under the supervision of Auqaf officials and the money was deposited in the bank.
