KARACHI: Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam has completed 4,000 runs in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), becoming the first batsman to cross this milestone in the league, while also equaling the record for the most partnerships in T20 cricket.
On Saturday, in the PSL XI match against Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Lummi captain Babar Azam crossed the milestone of completing 4,000 runs, becoming the first batsman in the league to cross this milestone.
During this time, he represented three teams Islamabad United, Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi.
Babar Azam has played 105 matches in PSL so far, including 2 centuries and 37 half-centuries.
In addition, Babar Azam also equaled the record for the most century partnerships in the T20 format.
Babar Azam has established 46 century partnerships in his T20 career, equalling the record of Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle for the most partnerships. Chris Gayle has made 46 century partnerships in 455 and Virat Kohli has made 400 T20 innings, while Babar Azam has crossed the milestone of his 46th century partnership in 339 innings.
