ISLAMABAD: After the reduction in prices of petroleum products, the increase in public transport fares was withdrawn.
Public transporters and several transport companies reduced fares by 25 percent, the fare from Lahore to Karachi was reduced from Rs 7190 to Rs 5390.
The fare from Lahore to Islamabad was reduced from Rs 2880 to Rs 2160, from Lahore to Murree from Rs 3500 to Rs 2620, from Lahore to Multan from Rs 2630 to Rs 1970, and from Lahore to Bahawalpur from Rs 2630 to Rs 1970.
Prices of petroleum products increased, transporters increased fares
In addition, the fare from Lahore to Rahim Yar Khan was reduced from Rs 3160 to Rs 2370, and from Lahore to Abbottabad from Rs 3750 to Rs 2810.
The Pakistan Mini Mazda Association also announced a 25 percent reduction in fares. According to the President of the Pakistan Mini Mazda Association, the 25 percent reduction in truck fares will be effective immediately.
