LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab’s Climate Leadership Development Internship Program has been established by the Government of Punjab to recruit young graduates who wish to work on climate and environmental projects.
According to the announcement, the internship program will provide selected participants with a monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000 for a duration of three months.
The government will provide interns with official internship certification when they finish their program requirements. The initiative aims to engage young people in climate-related projects and policy work while giving them exposure to environmental governance and sustainability initiatives.
The program will offer learning opportunities through a Learning Management System and field exposure with the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department EPCCD and the Environmental Protection Agency EPA.
The participants will develop capstone projects while receiving guidance from industry professionals. The officials announced that they will select candidates through a district-wide merit-based system, which will enable all districts in Punjab to participate.
Fifty percent of the seats have been reserved for female students. The interested candidates can complete their application process through the official portals, which are available at. The last date to submit applications for the first batch of the program is March 29 2026.
