As per official announcements, Blind Lakeor Jarba Zhou, has been closed before Eid al-Adha due to the negligence in the duties of a few staff members.

The decision was made on June 4, after a woman tourist was allegedly caught riding a horse at the lake, which was considered a serious violation of the sites standard operating procedures (SOPs).

All operations at Blind Lake have been put on hold until notice. The Assistant Commissioner stated that breaches of rules and regulations within public areas will not be allowed and that strict enforcement of the law will be observed.

Blind Lake is famous for its natural beauty and is the destination of many tourists from all over the country during the Eid holidays. The shutdown has occurred only a few days before the expected mass of tourists to enjoy Eid celebrations.
