Fawad Chaudhry booked in shop robbery case in Lahore

LAHORE: A case of shop robbery was registered against former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry last year, his wife Hiba Fawad claimed.

Taking on X, former PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry’s wife wrote that the case was registered at Lower Mall Lahore police station in August 2023.

According to the FIR, the 30-year-old unknown man entered the shop, stole the mobile phone and cash, and escaped. The police also presented the record of the robbery case against Fawad Chaudhry in the Lahore High Court on Monday.

Earlier, the details of the cases filed against Fawad Chaudhry were submitted to the Lahore High Court (LHC). According to the police report filed in the court, a total of 40 cases have been registered against the former federal minister in Punjab.

The police report said that 15 cases have been registered against Fawad Chaudhry in Lahore, while 5 cases have been registered in Multan, 11 in Rawalpindi, 2 in Attock, 2 in Jhelum, and 5 in Faisalabad.

LHC Justice Alia Neelum continued the hearing on provide details of the cases registered against Fawad Chaudhry on the second day as well. IGP Punjab also reached LHC today.
