ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet, on the advice of the Ministry of Commerce, appoints Mr. Shoaib Javed Hussain as the Chief Executive Officer of State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC), for another 3 years w.e.f. August 6, 2025.
The corporation has experienced dramatic change, characterized by innovation and tremendous growth, since March 2021, when Mr. Hussain assumed leadership.
Within four years, SLIC expanded its market share, achieving a remarkable +300% growth in profit, a +181% leap in revenue growth, and a +100% rise in policyholders’ profit sharing.
Growth has been fueled by accelerated digitalization, the introduction of innovative products, and improvements in service delivery.
Mr. Shoaib Javed Hussain is a certified actuary with an MSc in Actuarial Management from Bayes Business School, City University London, and holds Fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries (UK).
He has over 20 years of work experience in Europe, North America, and Asia. Prior to his appointment at SLIC in 2021, he was a senior executive in institutions such as AIA Group, Milliman, Prudential, EY, and HSBC.
He is also Chairman of the Insurance Association of Pakistan and sits on the boards of Sui Southern Gas Company, Pakistan Cables Limited, and Fauji Fertilizer Company.
State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC), founded in 1972, has been a symbol of stability and dependability in finance.
