WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has imposed another 25 percent tariff on India, after which the total US tariff on India has now reached 50 percent.

According to a foreign news agency, a statement issued by White said that President Trump has imposed another 25 percent tariff on India under the executive order.

The White House has said that it is appropriate and necessary to impose additional duties on goods imported from India, as India is importing oil directly and indirectly from Russia.

It should be noted that yesterday, US President Donald Trump had announced to impose more tariffs on India in the next 24 hours. The US President had said in his message that India’s current 25 percent tariff would be increased.

President Trump had said that India is not a good trading partner, India continues to purchase oil from Russia and thus is providing fuel to the war machine in Ukraine.

It should be remembered that even before this, President Trump had announced to further increase the tariff imposed on India for buying oil from Russia.

In a statement released on social media, Donald Trump said that India is not only buying large quantities of Russian oil but is also making a profit by selling it.

Trump said that India does not care how many people are being killed by the Russian army in Ukraine.

Trump said that for this reason, he is now going to increase the tariff on India even more.
