ISLAMABA: The federal government of Pakistan has declared a public holiday across the country on Thursday, May 1, on the occasion of International Workers’ Day.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior, all government and private offices will remain closed on that day.
The State Bank of Pakistan has also announced that all banks will remain closed on Thursday in view of the holiday.
International Workers’ Day is celebrated all over the world on May 1 every year to pay tribute to the services of workers and highlight the problems faced by the labour force.
