Banks to remain closed on May 01

ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), all banks and financial institutions will remain closed on Thursday (May 01) in connection with Labour Day.

The central bank announced on Tuesday that “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on May 1, 2025, (Thursday) being a public holiday on the occasion of Labour Day, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.”

Following this, all banks, microfinance banks and development finance institutions will also remain closed on May 1, 2025, on the occasion of Labour Day.
